I'm so ready for Lane to get here but I'm so unprepared! The eyes he's coming with aren't the ones I want for him and the wig is the right color but the wrong style. Aaaand he's going to have like, a pair of shoes and no clothes haha.

I wish shipping wasn't so damn much. Makes a 57$ luts order come to more than 80$! I can't afford it!! So I'm stalking the marketplace instead for a good pair of 14mm dark blue eyes and some cute clothes. If anyone has anything they want to offer (cheaply) to the cause, let me know!

Now I don't know what to do. I mean, the original reason I wanted to get Lane was because I couldn't afford Seth (supposed to be a Shiwoo). But then I got really excited and used to the idea of getting Lane first and I still want him reallyreallyreally bad.

BUT there's a Woosoo head with an absolutely gorgeous face-up that would make a freaking GORGEOUS Seth. In fact, I'm utterly in love with the idea of him being a Woosoo.

There's still 3 days left in the ebay bid (why did it have to be ebay? D:) for just the head and it's currently at 265$. Beautiful face-up already though and just...yeah. I don't know what to do! mnf Shiwoo is out of stock like I said, and that just makes it all the more tempting to try and bid for the Woosoo head. Not that I even necessarily have a chance, since in the next 3 days that head will probably go up to a billion dollars and be way out of my range.

Arrrghhh what to do?! Spend all my money and have a floating head for a while and save for a body for Seth, or go the insta-grati way and wait for Lane to come back in stock? *cries* Not faiiirrr

So I guess I'll post here? lol. Still no camera, so very little to post. We just got back from AWA though, and we had the best time! Probably 'ven even more than me since he got attention from hundreds of people while he was being a ho with Shou (Ambera's El) right on top of my art table! I'll have to scrounge for some pictures, since I know about 50 billion people took them x___x God, what a whore!

Nicole restrung him at the meet for me, which is super awesome because he was getting really flopping. We didn't do his arms though, which are a little loose but not really bad so they can wait. Thank you to Vesh for providing us string! :D

Also! We made a little bit in the artist alley and I'm hoping that maaayyybeee with the money mom had given me for hotel in my account that I didn't use I MIGHT be close to enough to order Lane!!! I have to wait for my spending in my accound to settle down so I can know exactly how much I have. I also need to recalculate the total price at Luts since shipping tends to fluctuate some.

I think I'm probably still a little short, but the MNF Shiwoo is out of stock right now anyway. Maybe I could try and save a little until he's back in stock. So excited omg I want him so bad! 8D *crosses fingers*

edit: There's a MNF Shiwoo for sale here for only 500$ WITH a black wig just like the one I want. The only problem is I want a face-up that's more custom. I mean, I could always get him and send him away for one, but that might cost even more in the long run? But I'd at least HAVE him. I don't know what to do!

First of all, I'm not very happy with Luts right now for taking away the paypal option. I mean, the exchange rate? Why the crap can't they just raise the price a tiny bit? Or hell, I'd even pay a little bit more if it was an extra 'paypal fee' or something. It's worth it for the convenience, imo. When I bought Iven, I used wire transfer and it was a horrible hassle and took almost a week to go through not to mention the omg!extra I had to pay in international transfer fee to the bank. Ever since I've been using paypal.

And I also hear that credit card payments can be unreliable? Does anyone know if that's true? D: Mrr.

So yeah. Sorry for that, I don't make a habit of it often but I needed to get it off my chest. I also figured it fit better here than my regular LJ...so yeah. You may return to your regularly scheduled internet. xDD

Mrrr, haven't posted in so long! The short of it is, I've moved again and Iven has been visiting with caligogreywings for a little bit while I settle in. I know he's having fun, but I miss my boy! ;o; (I can say that since he's not here to tell me to shut my whining face >>;;)

Still no camera, unfortunately, but now that I'm back home for a bit, I'm hoping to save some money and get one. Maybe finally a new wig or two and some strings too, since he needs them like WHOA. Hopefully there'll be some Persacon pics this weekend though, since I'm sure there'll be a panel/meet-up.

Yes, today was Iven's birthday. I can't freaking believe I've had him an entire year already. It doesn't seem that long. We've been through a lot already though. Lots of trips and even a move. I love him ;o; Anyway, I'll stop being sappy. Have some pictures! :D

So, this thoroughly sucks. No new pictures for a while, because my camera got taken by security at the Dir en grey concert in Atlanta ;o;! It was my fault for having it out when we weren't allowed, but still. What the hell. They said they couldn't find it after the show and swore to call me so I could go get it. Well, they haven't called and I can't afford a brand new 500$ camera. I owe too many other places. I'm going to try calling them again tomorrow.

On top of THAT, my doll fund that I'd been working is back at 0 due to a speeding ticket. Also my fault obviously, but god, I feel like I just can't win lately. I'm really bummed because I'd already started buying clothes for the boy I was going to order. *sigh* Back to square one.

I really hope I can make the doll meet this weekend. Even if I have no camera and no money, it'll be nice to see everyone and let 'Ven socialize a bit lol. :3

I got in to shiroi_yukiko's waiting list for pants tonight! First try, too. I feel bad that some people say they've been waiting like, over six months to get on her list when she opens up O_o; 'Ven loves stuff by her though- He already has a pair of pants, a shirt, and a jacket lol.

I ordered a pair of brown pants and a pair of jeans. But, Iven doesn't WEAR brown. Dun dun dun! What does it all mean? >D

I noticed last month when we took Iven out for the shoot at the gardens that it's been getting progressively harder and harder to get him to stand. He's gotten really really loose in the past few months, which makes sense, I guess because he does still have his original stringing.

Well, tonight I asked Nicole and Becca to help me out, and we set out to restring him. (This was my first time to ever take a doll all the way apart!!!)

Another Birmingham doll meet! This time it was the Christmas event held (two days ago) at a really cute little coffee shop in Hoover. We had a little trouble finding the place, but arrived fashionably late and looking fabulous, so it was ok. :D

For a change of pace this time, Iven wore his navy wig for part of the meet. His default will always be white or blonde, but he owns the blue...well, because quite honestly it's my favorite wig in the WORLD and he occasionally indulges me. Even if it isn't quite 'him' lol. It makes him look like a totally different doll.

Hi everyone! I have moved to dm_dolls from iven.

I feel like since tomorrow is the start of a new year, this is the best time to do it. The reason? Because I feel like the old journal revolved only around Iven (yes, he's still the star) but I have some plans in the works that will mean expanding my family, and I wanted the journal to reflect that!

So, I'm working on moving a lot of the old entries over here, just so I'll have them archived since I deleted the old account. I'm sad about losing the comments you all have made, but it's ok. Feel free to add this journal and comment on old entries if you want to! lol Thanks everyone :D
